Differences Between Movies & Novels

Assalamulaikum.

Hello guys! So, have much money have you saved by now for you to travel into the ‘magic world’? Just be relax, okay? I haven’t done it yet though. For this entry, I want to talk about the differences between the books and the films? Basically, if you’re really the real Potterheads you should have known that there are a lot of differences they had made which sometimes its disappointing I think. I mean, why do they have to cut that scene? It’s important, really. 

HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERERS STONE

Draco Malfoy	The first students that Harry met was Draco Malfoy in the Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions in Diagon Alley. Draco was friendly towards Harry, however, neither of them didn’t know each other names.	Harry doesn’t meet Draco Malfoy until they get to school, but Draco insulted on Weasley family made Harry didn’t want to be friend with Draco.
King’s Cross Station	Harry went to the King’s Cross Station for the Hogwarts Express accompanied by his uncle, aunt and Dudley.	Hagrid brought Harry to the King’s Cross Station.
The Forbidden Forest/ The Dark Forest	Neville Longbotton joins Harry, Ron, Hermione and Draco for the detention.	Only Harry, Ron, Hermione and Draco had to do the detention.

HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRET

The Quidditch Game	When the bludger tries to attack Harry, Fred and George try to save him.	Hermione saved Harry from the bludger.
Aragog’s scene	Harry, Ron and Fang were captured by a separate spider which afterward being brought to Aragog.	Harry, Ron and Fang follow the spider’s trail until they found the place where Arogag hide.
Harry’s sneak away	Fred and George had to get Harry’s trunk which was in the cupboard under the stairs.	The trunk was next to Harry.

 
HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN

The Werewolf Essay	In the book, Lupin came back for the next  class about Snape’s assignment. However, Hermione had started it where she learnt and figured out that Lupin is a werewolf.	Snape substitutes Lupin’s class because he’ sick. He taught them about werewolves.
Harry sneaks to Hogsmeade	Harry sneaks to Hogsmeade and had to hide from Hagrid, Mcgonagall, Fudge, Flitwick and Rosemerta. He learnt about Sirius Black.	Harry uses his invisibility cloak to sneak out to Hogsmeade. He learnt about Sirius alone by overhearing their conversation.
Shrieking Shack	When Draco makes fun of Ron, Harry came and pelted mud onto Draco. His cloak slipped and Draco saw his face.	Harry threw snowballs and made Draco and his friends scared. They never saw Harry’s face.

HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE

The First Task	Harry fights with the dragon within the arena.	Harry fights with the dragon outside the arena, which destroyed part of Hogwarts.
Gillyweed	Dobby came in the last minute of the second task and gave Harry the gillyweed.	The gillyweed was given by Neville Longbottom

HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF PHOENIX

The Hearing	Dolores Umbridge admitted that she sent the Dementors to attack the Harry and Dudley.	She doesn’t.
Sneak	Cho’s friend which is Marietta who told Umbridge about the Dumbledore’s Army.	Harry doesn’t talk anymore with Cho because Cho told Umbridge about the Dumbledore’s Army after she was given the Verita Serum.

HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE

Apparition Class	Show how Harry and his friends learnt to apparate.	None.
Merope Gaunt	Stories about Merope Gaunt, who was a Tom Riddle’s mother who fall in love with one of the Muggle and used a love potion.	No story about Tom Riddle’s background.

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS

Grimmauld Place	Lupin showed up at the Grimmauld Place decide to leave Tonks because he afraid that his son might be follow him, which is a werewolf and wanted to help The Trio.	Lupin didn’t show up.
Peter Pettigrew	Pettigrew’s magical metal hand turn against him and killed himself when he hesitated to kill Harry	Pettigrew didn’t die.

So, there are a few of the differences that I listed in this post.
